John Wood is a Geoscientist, with more than 30 years experience evaluating acreage on the UKCS and on the NCS. I have worked for operators BP, Saga Petroleum, Marathon and Centrica Energy. Since 2011 I have worked as an Independent Consultant carrying out licence and round exploration and appraisal seismic interpretation projects for Maersk Oil UK (CNS), Tullow Oil (Norway Project), BP Exploration (West of Shetlands Greater Clair) and OMV U.K. (West of Shetland).
Commercial awareness aimed at integrating all published information into new acreage assessments and particularly at re-evaluating well and seismic data using newly available deghosted Broadband 3D seismic data and new ideas.
My current areas of study include:
1. Sand Injectite reservoirs on the UKCS and NCS.
2. Barents Sea seismic evaluation of 21, 22, 23 Rounds
I am actively searching for new contract or full-time employment, in UK, Norway.
