Addressing the challenges of an extended supply chain

Talk Description
An important objective of the Norwegian petroleum policy has been to develop an internationally competitive oil and gas industry based in Norway. As companies continue to expand their global operations and operate in ever more remote locations the challenges of managing the extended supply chain associated with these activities become more onerous

We will explore effective solutions that can be employed that will allow you to know globally which equipment and materials are critical to operations and their location and status at any given time, helping you to prioritise, manage and expedite these in a timely manner.
Don is a highly experienced SAP project manager. His background in the IT business spans 25 years, and he has spent more than a decade implementing SAP in the upstream oil and gas industry.
In his spare time Don enjoys playing golf and five-a-side football.

Improving MRO (maintenance, repair, overhaul) inventory management

Talk Description
Most oil and gas operators and many contractors have the potential for tremendous improvement in the performance of their MRO inventories. By utilizing leading edge analytics tools to optimize stock, an unusual combination of reduced holding costs and improved inventory service levels is easily achievable. This, in turn, improves equipment up-time and builds trust with maintenance, operations and senior management. The key lies in analyzing and optimizing inventory reorder levels in your ERP system according to strata of criticality, item cost and item usage levels while factoring in inventory related transaction and holding costs. In this way, the performance of the entire supply chain can be improved. We will explore the critical success factors in the use of inventory analytics tools and share insights from relevant case studies.
