CO2 storage plans for Teesside / Humber (Endurance), Liverpool region (HyNet), Morecambe (Spirit Energy) and Peterhead (Acorn) are fairly well known now. But there are also many interesting new CO2 storage projects being planned around the British Isles. We'll learn about some of these in the webinar.

the projects with Track 1 and 2 government funding are quite well known now - Hynet, East Coast Cluster, Viking CCS and Acorn,
But In the projects beyond track 1 and 2, government support might take a very different form.
Such as relying on carbon pricing and other market mechanisms.
First we'll hear from Nick Terrell, Executive Director, Carbon Catalyst.
They are developing the Poseidon and Orion CO? Storage Projects, alongside partners Perenco and Harbour Energy.
Poseidon is transforming the depleted Leman gas field into a 1 gigatonne CO2 storage site.
It is connected to the Bacton terminal in Norfolk.
With that location, it can provide storage to London and Southeast England and perhaps Continental Europe.
The second project, Orion, will use depleted gas fields immediately offshore the Humber Industrial Region.
Nick is a past chair of the Subsurface Task Force, that's a collaborative body involving industry, regulator and government to promote the UK's offshore energy and storage resources.
He also ran Azinor, a UK-focused oil and gas operator.
Then we'll hear from Pierre Girard, technical director of ENI CCUS holding.
He will talk about plans for the Bacton CCS hub in Norfolk and the Hewett store nearby.
Pierre has a background in reservoir engineering and commercial development.
And finally we'll hear from Matt Browell-Hook, Energy Transition Director with Spirit Energy.
They operate gas fields in Morecambe Bay in Northwest England, and plan to convert them into CO2 storage sites.
Matt's background is in engineering and asset integrity management.
