Getting investment into gas projects relies on being able to demonstrate low carbon. We are particularly interested in moves by the European Commission to allow gas power projects to be classified as "green" if they emit below 270g CO2 equivalent per KWH generated, replace a more polluting plant, and plan to switch to 'low carbon gas' by 2035. This means gas power with CCS, since without it, gas emits about 500g CO2 per KWH.

Gas power projects don't only emit greenhouse gas in the combustion plant, there's also the emissions from constructing the well and facilities, possible gas leaks, and gas transport.

In this webinar we'll explore how developers of gas projects, including gas production from reservoirs as well as combustion, might demonstrate to investors that the gas from their projects will meet this 270g CO2e / KWH bar.
