Ian Smale

Ian Smale is a director of strategic consulting firm Colstra Ltd and a non executive director of Nexen Petroleum UK. He is a former president and CEO North Africa with BP (Jan 2005 to Dec 2007), former BP group head of strategy and policy (Aug 2008 to Sept 2011), and former group head of mergers and acquisitions with BP (2000 to 2005). He was also chief executive of Hydrotec Group, an AIM listed clean-tech lubricant re-refining and supply company, from Jan 2012 to Dec 2015.
