What is Responsible Investing and how should we measure it? These are two of the questions that we hope investors, operators, policy makers and NGOs will challenge and answer during this conference.
Responsible Investment seems to be currently determined primarily by the volume of carbon an organisation releases to the environment.
We believe it should encompass a broader and more balanced set of requirements, as suggested by the Sustainable Development Goals, and measured by Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) reporting, thereby ensuring that those organisations who truly strive to operate with clear Purpose in a more sustainable manner are actively supported by investors.
If you are an investor, oil & gas company or service provider, policy maker, industry body, regulator, NGO, insurer, analyst or interested party seeking to shape the future of Responsible Investment in the natural resources sector, we hope to see you at the conference.

Chris Wheaton - Investment Manager - Stifel
What does this mean for E&Ps?
Talk Description. What is their approach to ESG and Sustainability?
Chris Wheaton was formerly European energy sector analyst with Allianz and energy investment analyst with T Rowe Price.
"Having trained as a Chemical Engineer, I've spent over half my 20 year career as a stockpicker and stockmarket analyst following the Oil & Gas industry and global energy markets. I've also analysed and stockpicked across sectors as diverse as financials, transport, and media. I've been fortunate to be an analyst on the energy sector during a time of extraordinary change in the global energy industry, and to take advantage of the stockpicking opportunities this rate of change has generated. With a lot of hard work I've been top ranked among my investment peers in Europe by some of the biggest global energy companies for the quality and depth of my analysis and my investment insight not just for the short-term, but on the key strategic issues facing industry CEOs."
Stifel Stifel is a full-service wealth management and investment banking firm, established in 1890 and based in St. Louis, Missouri. The Company provides securities brokerage, investment banking, trading, investment advisory, and related financial services through its wholly owned subsidiaries to individual investors, professional money managers, businesses, and municipalities.
