ffA software integrates with Petrel

Friday, October 07, 2011 in Exploration / Seismic

Aberdeen subsurface modelling software company ffA has launched a new version of its SVI Pro and SEA 3D Pro 2011.1 software.

The software has a connection with Schlumberger's Petrel software, enabling ffA 3D seismic analysis within the Petrel workflow.

You can view ffA's red, green and blue (RGB) images from SVI Pro in the same resolution in Petrel, and import volume and horizon data from Petrel into ffA software.

It also integrates with ffA's SaltApp software, which can be used to delineate salt and analyse the relationship between salt bodies and surrounding stratigraphy.

There are also "significant enhancements" to the link to Halliburton's GeoProbe.

The software runs on both Windows and Linux.
