VolgodgradNIPImorneft Institute implements AVEVA Marine
Friday, June 29, 2012
The VolgodgradNIPImorneft Institute, a design and surveying company working with condensate fields, has implemented AVEVA Marine software to use with designing jack-up platform projects for the Caspian Sea.
The Institute was previously the engineering department of oil and gas operator Lukoil, and was set up as a separate enterprise in mid 2011.
The Institute wanted a 3D engineering design software which could be used on complex projects, including a marine environment, and could also be used for detailed piping design, AVEVA says.
Previously, it was using two separate software systems, which was very inefficient, and made it hard for all project designers to work on the same model, something you can do with AVEVA software.
'VolgodgradNIPImorneft Institute will benefit from the fundamental capabilities of AVEVA Marine such as automatic change highlighting across technical disciplines, allowing engineering teams to greatly improve the ability to meet important project deadlines," says Evgeny Fedotov, Senior Vice President, Russia, India & Middle East with AVEVA.
"By implementing AVEVA Marine and adopting AVEVA's Integrated Engineering & Design approach, they will improve project efficiency and reduce costs through a single managed information model'.
