Paradigm launches Sysdrill 2012

Thursday, May 24, 2012

Paradigm has launched a new version of Sysdrill 2012, its well planning and drilling engineering software.

The upgrade includes enhancements to product performance, well planning and survey management, and drilling engineering.

You can use it to model new drilling techniques and equipment including tractor tools, swivel tools, divertor subs and managed pressure drilling.

There are tools that can enable drilling engineers to more accurately and safely design extended reach and deep water wells.

The software has a graphical schematic representation of bottom hole assemblies (BHA) for incorporation into drilling programs, and new survey management tools for quality control purposes.

'As the drilling industry continues to drill further and deeper there is a need for advanced drilling engineering solutions that can accurately model the latest drilling techniques.' said Robert Innes, director for well planning and drilling. 'Paradigm Sysdrill 2012 provides the necessary tools to achieve these goals."
