Ikon Science appoints Mark Sams as QI manager Asia Pacific

Ikon Science has appointed Dr Mark Sams as Quantitative Interpretation (QI) manager for Asia Pacific.

He is responsible for delivery of projects and expansion of the Ikon service offering in the Asia Pacific.

Ikon Science's service business makes predictions of reservoir properties, pressure and fluids, using a quantitative approach (rather than a qualitative approach).

Dr Sams was previously at Fugro Jason where he held "senior positions".

Before that he was a researcher at Imperial College, London, studying rock physics modelling with emphasis on integrating data measured at different scales. He also spent 3 years in Malaysia working with Petronas research.
