Friday, August 20, 2010 in Software

GlobaLogix, an oilfield control and automation company, has hired Freddy Cantu and Daniel Farmer into its safety and operations groups respectively.

Cantu joins the company as safety director, advising company leadership on health, safety and environmental practices.  Farmer, an electrical and instrumentation engineer, will serve as an operations coordinator, assisting the vice president of operations and HSE in developing and refining key processes and procedures.

Cantu joins GlobaLogix after working with several industry leaders, including Chevron and Shell.  Cantu’s responsibilities have ranged from proactively implementing programs encouraging employee safety to managing and enforcing OSHA standards and regulations.

Prior to joining GlobaLogix, Farmer served as an instrumentation engineer at TKE Engineering & Design, where he gained a working knowledge of the oil and gas industry.  He has also worked in the Texas A&M System Energy Systems Laboratory and with Bell Helicopter, where he primarily focused on measurement and data collection.

Farmer will be based in GlobaLogix’ Houston headquarters while Cantu will work remotely from South Texas.
