Dolphin Geophysical 3D client survey in Senegal

Saturday, April 14, 2012

Marine seismic survey company Dolphin Geophysical has signed an agreement with the Government of Senegal to acquire, process and market a 3D multi-client seismic survey of deepwater offshore Senegal.

The survey is described as "substantially pre-funded".

It will aim to image potential submarine turbidite fan plays, using long offset 3D data.

The survey is 40 per cent complete as of Apr 11 2012.

The data is being partly processed onboard the vessel.

It will be post stack time migrated and available to pre-funding clients within 'weeks' of completion of the acquisition, the company says.

The data will complement a recently acquired North West Africa Atlantic Margin (NWAAM) 2D multi-client survey which has already been acquired and processed.

Sample data will be made available at road show seminars in London and Houston during summer 2012.
