CGGVeritas "strategic alliance" with JSC SEVMORNEFTEGEOFIZIKA

Marine seismic company CGGVeritas has signed an agreement for a 'strategic alliance' with Russian seismic company JSC SEVMORNEFTEGEOFIZIKA (SMNG).
The two companies will work together to "jointly address the growing Russian and CIS high-end seismic vessels market."
SMNG is the largest marine geophysical company in Russia and the CIS. Services include 2D/3D marine seismic acquisition, navigation and positioning services, seismic data processing and integrated interpretation of seismic data.
'At a time when seismic Russian and CIS exploration is becoming increasingly important, we are very pleased to sign this strategic alliance with SMNG," said Jean-Georges Malcor, CEO, CGGVeritas.
