Baker Hughes offers pipeline long seam inspection technology

Friday, February 10, 2012 in Automation

Baker Hughes is now offering circumferential magnetic flux leakage (MFL) inspection technology, which can be used by pipeline operators to identify anomalies in pipeline long seams.

This helps them manage the risk associated with cracks in long seam welds, hook cracks, lack of fusion and long narrow-axial corrosion.

Baker Hughes is offering the service following its acquisition of the circumferential/transverse field (TFI) MFL technology of Intratech Inline Inspection Services Ltd.
