Baker Hughes consolidates consulting services

Thursday, September 01, 2011 in Software

Baker Hughes has announced that it is consolidating all of its consulting services under the brand Gaffney, Cline and Associates.

During 2008 and 2009 Baker Hughes acquired 3 consulting companies - Gaffney, Cline & Associates, EPIC and the consulting division of Helix RDS and they will all be brought together. There will be around 300 consultants in the new organisation.

The exception is the consulting operations for GeoMechanics International, which will sit under Baker Hughes' subsurface integrity and evaluation group.

"The combined expertise of what is now a very substantial global consultancy allows us to offer a broad portfolio of services to our clients," says John Harris, president of Reservoir Development Services for Baker Hughes.
