ARKeX gravity survey conducted in Uganda

Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in Exploration / Seismic

ARKeX, the provider of geophysical imaging services, is currently performing an airborne BlueQube gravity gradiometry survey for Tower Resources in Uganda.

The survyey is over Block EA5, onshore Uganda, which is operated by Tower Resources' wholly-owned subsidiary, Neptune Petroleum (Uganda) Limited.

Block EA5 "The Rhino Camp Basin" is a 2,941 sq km License area situated at the northern end of the Albertine Graben in north-west Uganda. The Basin is relatively unexplored but has good hydrocarbon potential with various analogies to the other producing basins within the Albertine Graben.

The airborne BlueQube survey will be used to map structures in the deeper part of the basin to improve structural definition and assist in identifying a better-developed reservoir section. The survey will also be used to better locate future seismic surveys.
