Notes
Paetoro Consulting UK Ltd is incorporated in UK. It undertakes London based Geoscience contract work. Our focus is structural and resource geology.

We chase areas of difficult imaging and complex structure, in rifts, fold & thrust belts, and salt influenced areas. We conduct integrated regional reviews - and we explore workflows for doing this more efficiently. We QC interpretations and reserve estimates from a geological perspective.

With an eye on new AI technologies, we seek holistic approaches to the subsurface, integrating hydrocarbon, geothermal and mineral exploitation for the renewables age.

Understanding fractured reservoirs and rocks

Tuesday, January 23, 2018

The fact that fractures are common in the subsurface have been known for at least the last century but the practice of treating reservoirs as fractured rock masses has been extremely slow in becoming a standard industry practice, despite that fact that fields with such reservoirs are known from SE Asia, the carbonates of the Middle East and much more recently, the basement West of the Shetlands.
