There is big interest in producing fractured reservoirs – mainly carbonates – in the North Sea and in Kurdistan. Understanding them requires a different approach to conventional fields – and many companies have made big losses from not doing it very well. We’ll look at where companies are finding success and what techniques and data methods they are using to understand them.

By Nov 2019 we might expect to see a lot of news from Hurricane Energy from its projects in the North Sea, and perhaps more news from Kurdistan.
