Sub Saharan Africa could be the part of the world with the most potential for new hydrocarbon production – but there’s a lot of challenges along the way. There have been some deepwater successes but many disappointment. The biggest opportunities could be onshore, including in providing gas for power generation to places which do not have it, in East Africa. We’ll look at where the opportunities may exist – and methods to approach the dreaded ‘local content’ requirements.
