Flare Solutions has been involved in information management projects with oil and gas companies since 1998. Projects have ranged from the development of IM strategies to product development and deployment. Flare has also been heavily involved in the development of industry standards such as the Practical Well Log Standards (PWLS) and the E&P Cataloguing Standards (EPICAT) with Energistics.
Flare has developed an application suite that originally provided search and discovery functionality, but, over time, has evolved into a more operational and collaborative toolkit. The toolkit includes the E&P Catalog, EPCat-Tracker and the Flare Oil and Gas Taxonomies.
