Hossam Farid

In his professional career of over 25 years, Hossam worked in both the upstream and the downstream Oil & Gas sectors, and has been working for Oracle for over 15 years. His career experience includes senior positions managing oil field services operations, projects, assets and business units at fortune 500 companies.

In his current role at Oracle, Hossam leads the industry global business unit, and has guided the transformation of several industry initiatives, specifically around Upstream Data Management, Commodity Trading, Strategic Planning and Downstream Services.

Hossam is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and a frequent speaker on topics of gaining value from IT solutions, and the impact of technology on the Oil & Gas Industry.

He also holds a B. Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, and post graduate qualifications in Management and Business Administration from Wharton Business School.
