Finding Oil and Gas in South Africa

where the opportunities may exist - and methods to approach the 'local content' requirements. 0

Friday, May 24, 2019, London, The Geological Society

Oil companies will show more interest in South Africa, following Total's 57m thick gas condensate discovery in the Outeniqua Basin announced in Feb 2019. And there's growing in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Mozambique in the East, and Senegal and Gabon in The West.

At our Finding Petroleum forum, held at the South Africa High Commission on Trafalgar Square, we'll look at the potential in South Africa - where we might go from here with exploration and production

Call for speakers - do you have new seismic or other survey data, or new ways to understand the geology of this part of the world, perhaps using satellite imagery?

Speaker from - - PGS

PGS
PGS is a dedicated marine geophysical company. We provide images and 3D models of the subsurface that oil companies use to find oil and gas reserves. Our business is technology driven and we offer a broad range of seismic, electromagnetic and reservoir services, including acquisition, imaging, reservoir characterisation, interpretation and field evaluation. The PGS MultiClient seismic library is among the largest and most modern in the industry. Around 60% of the 2D data and almost 30% of all 3D data has been acquired with GeoStreamerĀ®, the industry's first true broadband marine seismic system.
